What are the main functions of PVC profile?

PVC profile is a profile made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin as the main raw material, plus a certain proportion of stabilizer, colorant, filler, ultraviolet absorber, etc. What are the main functions of PVC profile?

1. Thermal insulation and energy saving: the multi cavity structure of plastic steel profile has good thermal insulation performance and low heat transfer coefficient, which is only 1 / 357 of steel and 1 / 1250 of aluminum. Its economic and social benefits are huge.

2. Air tightness: Rubber and plastic sealing strips and wool strips are installed at all gaps of plastic steel doors and windows, so its air tightness is much higher than that of aluminum alloy doors and windows. The air tightness of plastic steel casement doors and windows is higher than that of sliding windows. Generally, the air tightness of casement window can reach level 5, and that of sliding window can reach level 2.

3. Water tightness: because the plastic steel profile has a unique multi cavity structure and has an independent drainage cavity, the accumulated water of both frame and fan can be effectively discharged. The water tightness of plastic steel casement window is much higher than that of sliding window. Generally, the water tightness of casement window can reach level 5 and sliding window can reach level 3 to level 4.

Wind pressure resistance: 1.5 ~ 3mm thick steel lining can be filled in the independent plastic cavity, and the thickness and profile series of plastic steel can be selected according to the local wind pressure value, building height, hole size and window design, so as to ensure the requirements of the building for profile doors and windows. Large section sliding window or internal casement window can be selected for high-rise buildings, and the wind pressure resistance strength can reach more than level 6. External casement window or small section sliding window can be selected for low-rise buildings, and the wind pressure resistance strength is generally level 3.

5. Corrosion resistance: PVC profile has a unique formula and good corrosion resistance. For example, anti-corrosion hardware and stainless steel profiles are selected, and their service life is about 10 times that of steel windows.

6. Weather resistance: PVC profile adopts a unique formula to improve its cold resistance. Plastic steel doors and windows can be used in the environment with large temperature difference (- 50 ℃ ~ 70 ℃) for a long time. The hot sun and humidity will not cause deterioration, aging and embrittlement. The earliest plastic steel doors and windows have been used for 30 years and their materials are intact. According to this calculation, the service life of plastic steel doors and windows under normal conditions can reach more than 50 years.
