INTRODUCTION: PVC Hygienic PROFILES
We’ll start this article by exploring what PVC hygienic Profiles are, and why they are important. Then, we’ll explain why to use PVC profiles in the cold room and we’ll take a closer look at benefits from the usage of PVC profiles in industrial spaces.
WHAT IS PVC hygienic PROFILES?
Polyvinyl chloride, abbreviated PVC, is a synthetic plastic polymer, that is extruded to become PVC hygienic Profiles (called also PVC Hygienic Profiles). Used in refrigeration with the main purpose to protect and preserve cold rooms and panels by preventing of accumulation of dirt and bacterias in the industrial spaces, particularly in the corners, allowing easy cleaning of the walls and the floor. Ideal for commercial and industrial cold-rooms.
PVC profiles return more than its cost: here is why you have to add it to your cold room
WHY USE PVC PROFILES WHEN INSTALLING INSULATED METAL PANELS?
Because, first of all, PVC hygienic profiles are quicker to install on an insulated sandwich panel than a steel flashing. You won’t need any sealant to make them adhere, as they have a flexible lip that adapts its shape to the ribbed surface of a metal sandwich panel.
Here you can save about 1000 dollars in sealant and working hours for 10 sqm cold-room.
Second, it will be quicker to clean a cold-room, as you won’t need to clean the corners, which takes time, and you will save water, detergent and, most important, time.
The saving here is interesting, due to the fact the water is becoming a scarce resource in many countries.
Third, what happens when a metal flashing gets scratched? Moist will turn any scratch into a source of rust, which will quickly corrode the steel. PVC hygienic profiles simply can’t rust.
Touch-up a scratched steel plate, can be quite expensive.
Last but not least, it protects the panels from small hits made by moving boxes around.
